STRATEGI PENGENDALIAN PENANGKAPAN IKAN YANG MERUSAK DI PERAIRAN JAYAPURA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP)

Abstract

Marine and fisheries management have complex challenges, including the unresolved use of explosives and poisons, despite prohibitions and law enforcement. These activities continue to occur. Several factors contribute to destructive fishing practices, including economic, socio-cultural, and environmental factors. Therefore, a study is needed to develop strategies for controlling destructive fishing. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, and data collection uses questionnaires and interviews., and processed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Alternative strategies were compared in pairs and scored based on their relative importance. The results showed that the highest-scoring alternative strategy was the involvement of indigenous community leaders, with a priority score of 0.279. Similarly, the actors considered to have a very important role in efforts to control destructive fishing were indigenous community leaders, or Ondoafi, with a score of 0.370. The most important factor to consider in fisheries management was the economic factor, with a score of 0.728.
