Abstract

Organizational culture plays an important role in improving employee performance, as it serves as a guideline that influences their behavior and activities in carrying out tasks. A strong organizational culture is believed to encourage employees to achieve optimal performance, although some studies have shown that its influence on performance is not always consistent. This study aims to identify the effect of organizational culture on employee performance at the Health Office of Kerom Regency, Papua Province. Using an explanatory design, this research explains the causal relationship between organizational culture (independent variable) and employee performance (dependent variable). The sample was selected through purposive sampling, consisting of 46 employees, with the minimum number of participants calculated using G*Power software. The results indicate that organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance, with a coefficient of determination of 32.5%. This suggests that organizational culture contributes 32.5% to the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 67.5% is influenced by other factors. Based on these findings, it is suggested that organizations strengthen their existing culture to enhance employee performance and that further studies explore other factors influencing performance, such as motivation and work environment.
