Work-related fatigue is a significant issue in nursing that can affect both nurse well-being and patient safety. This study aimed to analyze differences in fatigue levels among nurses working morning, evening, and night shifts at RSUD Jayapura. A quantitative cross-sectional design was conducted with 138 inpatient nurses selected through proportional random sampling. Fatigue was measured using the Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion Recovery (OFER-15) instrument and analyzed using Repeated Measures ANOVA. The results showed that most nurses experienced moderate fatigue across all shifts, with significant differences in fatigue levels between shifts (p < 0.001). Nurses working night shifts reported higher fatigue than those on morning and evening shifts, while no significant difference was found between morning and evening shifts. These findings indicate that night shifts pose a greater risk of fatigue, highlighting the importance of optimizing shift scheduling to improve nurse well-being and patient safety.
