About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Jurnal Biologi Papua is a scholarly journal publishing original research articles and review articles in biology and related disciplines. The journal aims to provide a platform for disseminating scientific research that contributes to the advancement of biological sciences, the understanding of biodiversity, and the application of biological knowledge across various fields.

The journal covers the following areas:

Plant Biology: plant taxonomy, physiology, ecophysiology, and ecology.
Animal Biology: animal taxonomy, physiology, ecophysiology, behavior, and ecology.
Applied Plant Biology: biological applications in agriculture, plantation sciences, and forestry.
Applied Animal and Human Biology: biological applications in animal husbandry, fisheries, aquatic sciences, and human biology.
Environmental Biology: research on microorganisms, ecosystems, environmental pollution, pollution control, and interactions between organisms and their environments.

Jurnal Biologi Papua welcomes manuscripts demonstrating scientific relevance, methodological rigor, and meaningful contributions to the advancement of biological sciences and their applications.

Publication Frequency

JURNAL BIOLOGI PAPUA, mempublikasikan tulisan ilmiah hasil penelitian asli maupun telaah pustaka (review) yang berhubungan dengan biologi secara umum. Penulis dianjurkan menuliskan karyanya dalam Bahasa Inggris, walaupun dalam Bahasa Indonesia tetap kami hargai. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali setahun setiap Bulan April dan Oktober
