Abstract

This research examines the influence of colonialism on the Papua economy, focusing on the role of the Nimboran community in the exploitation of natural resources in 1952. Through historical and economic research, this study reveals how colonial policies were implemented, affecting the local economy, and how the Nimboran community was involved in resource exploitation. The results show that the exploitation of natural resources by the colonial government had a significant impact on the economy and social life of the local community. This research contributes to the understanding of the Influence of Colonialism on the Papua Economy, as well as its impact on Papuan society at that time, including the changes and impacts that can still be seen today in Papua. Additionally, it highlights the role of the Nimboran community in the dynamics of the colonial economy
